          2008 Youth Baseball Tourney in Bend, Oregon

The Bend Elks Memorial Day Youth Baseball Tournament is scheduled for May 24-26. The Tournament format will be revised to simplify game times and field location. We will schedule each team to play 4 games scheduled in advance in pool play  format on Saturday and Sunday with the top seed advancing to a Monday championship round. We will also offer teams that do not reach the Monday play-off round an opportunity to play a consolation game on Monday if they wish to sign up for a guaranteed 5 games over the weekend.

Cost for the basic Tournament package is $325
4 game pool play and a 1 game play-off on Monday for the No1 seed.

Cost for the 5 game guarantee is $375.
 Fee must be prepaid at time of  tournament entry. If you pay $375 and win your pool, you will be refunded $50.

 Divisions:
Update : As of 1 April, registration is quite active. For Senior Division, we have added Sisters fields
for all new registrations after 1 April. If your entry fee is not in by 1 April, senior teams are subject to play  pool games in Sisters with championships in Bend. Sisters is a 21 minute drive from Bend.
  • MIDGETS   Ages 10 and under (Space available, 2 Divisions, drop 3rd strike, no drop 3rd strike)
    Bat the entire roster. Free substitutions. No pitcher is allowed to throw more than 8 innings in the entire Tournament. One pitch thrown in an inning represents a full inning for accounting purposes. Courtesy runner for the catcher only and must be the last recorded out player in the dugout. 6 inning game or 1 hr and 45 minute time limit. No new inning will start after 1 hr and 30 minutes. 5 runs max per inning scored, 10 run rule after 5.0 innings will be enforced. Tie's are recorded games in pool play. Tie's in quarterfinals and semi's revert to the last complete inning. Championships will be played out for 2 additional innings if necessary.
  • NO LEAD-OFFS  12U Division and 10U divisions (Space  available)
    Bat the entire roster. Free substitutions. No pitcher is allowed to throw more than 8 innings in the entire Tournament. One pitch thrown in an inning represents a full inning for accounting purposes. Courtesy runner for the catcher only and must be the last recorded out player in the dugout. Six innings game or 1 hr and 45 minute time limit. No new inning will start after 1 hr and 30 minutes. 5 runs max per inning scored, 10 run rule after 5.0 innings will be enforced.

    Tie's are recorded games in pool play. Tie's in quarterfinals and semi's revert to the last complete inning. Championships will be played out for 2 additional innings if necessary.
  • JUNIORS ( Federal and Amercain Division
    Bat the entire roster. Free substitutions. No pitcher is allowed to throw more than 9 innings in the entire Tournament. One pitch thrown in an inning represents a full inning for accounting purposes. An additional inning is allowed for pitchers that play in a 5th game championship. Courtesy runner for the catcher only and must be the last recorded out player in the dugout. 6 inning game or 1 hr and 45 minute time limit. No new inning will start after 1 hr and 30 minutes. 7 runs max per inning scored, 10 run rule after 5.0 innings will be enforced. Tie's are recorded games in pool play. Tie's in quarterfinals and semi's revert to the last complete inning. Championships will be played out for 2 additional innings if necessary
  • SENIORS.  Federal and American Divisions (FULL) Bat the entire roster. Free substitutions. No pitcher is allowed to throw more than 9 innings in the entire Tournament. One pitch thrown in an inning represents a full inning for accounting purposes. An additional inning is allowed for pitchers that play in a 5th game championship. Courtesy runner for the catcher only and must be the last recorded out player in the dugout. Seven inning game or 1.45 hr time limit. No new inning will start after 1 hr and 30 minutes. 10 run rule after 5.0 innings will be enforced. Tie's are recorded games in pool play. Tie's in quarterfinals and semi's revert to the last complete inning. Championships will be played out for 2 additional innings if necessary.
  • POOL PLAY (5 teams in each pool with round robin 4 game format)

The Memorial Tournament is operated by the Bend Elks Baseball Club in cooperation with Summit, Bend
Mountain View and Sisters Highschools and the Bend Metro Park and Recreation District. Proceeds from this
tournament are used for their respective baseball programs.
