RedHawks 1st baseman Riley Tompkins not sleepless in Seattle

The sophomore from Lynnwood, Washington will be joined in Bend by sophomore right handed pitcher Blaine Jones and freshman catcher Skip Spencer from Springfield, Oregon. Seattle has picked up 4 wins so far this season, their first year back in baseball in over 30 years. Seattle's coaching staff, including head coach Donny Harell and assistant coach Casey Powell, both have Central Oregon ties. Harrel coached the Elks in 2000 and 2001 and returns twice a year working camps at Vince Genna Stadium. Powell, a graduate from MT View HS also coached the Elks
both as the head coach and assistant coach.
