Bend Elks Are at Cougar Capacity for 2016 Season

After a long stint of the Elks going Coug-less, this year, the Elks have snagged four Washington State University Cougars, the maximum allowed from a single school.While the 2015 consisted of two Washington State players (Sam Boone and Derek Chapman), The Bend Elks are proud to announce that the 2016 season will host a roster full of Cougars. Before Boone and Chapman, the Elks have not had a Coug in an Elks uniform since Bend’s own Tommy Richards.

 

The 2016 Elks will be consist of Derek Chapman, Ty Johnson, Jack Strunc, and Ryan Ward. Chapman, a 6’0″ 185 lbs outfielder, will return to the Bend Elks from our 2015 championship team. Johnson, a freshman from Anacortes, Washington, is a 6’2″ 200lbs right handed pitcher. Strunc a 6’1″ 180 lbs sophomore from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, uses his talents the infield. Finally Ward a Freshman from Hood River, Oregon, is a Right handed pitcher weighing in at 6’3″ and 180 lbs.
